NUC Grants Full-Time Establishment of Ten New Academic Programmes at Northwest University Kano

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially granted approval for the full-time establishment of ten new academic programmes at Northwest University Kano, with effect from the 2025/2026 academic session.

The newly approved programmes are:

1. B.Sc. Nursing Science

2. Doctor of Physiotherapy (D.PT.)

3. Bachelor of Radiography (B.Rad.)

4. B.Sc. Pharmacology

6. B.Sc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics

7. B.Sc. Public Administration

9. Master of Library and Information Science (M.LIS)

10. Postgraduate Diploma, M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Biochemistry

This remarkable achievement represents another major milestone in the University’s academic growth, expanding its portfolio to meet the rising demand for highly skilled professionals across diverse disciplines.

In a congratulatory message, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Kano state who is also the Honourable Commissioner Ministry for Higher Education, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, lauded the Management, staff, and entire University community for this accomplishment.
