NUC Inspects Gombe State University Proposed Faculty of Agriculture

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has conducted an official inspection of Gombe State University's (GSU) proposed Faculty of Agriculture. The inspection, which took place on July 11, 2025, aimed to assess the university's infrastructure and preparedness for the new faculty.

The NUC delegation, led by Mr. Abubakar M. Girei, was welcomed by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta. Professor Yauta expressed the university's commitment to establishing a world-class Faculty of Agriculture, citing the support of Governor Yahaya for agricultural transformation in Gombe State.

The university has assured the NUC that it is prepared to implement all recommendations to ensure a smooth commencement of academic activities. The NUC team acknowledged the existing facilities and promised to submit a comprehensive report to the Commission.
