The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has called on corps members to strictly comply with the NYSC Bye-laws and the Oath of Allegiance they took upon joining the scheme. He made this statement while addressing the 2024 Batch 'B' Stream II corps members deployed to Jigawa State at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Fanisau, Dutse.

General Ahmed emphasized that corps members must serve as good ambassadors of their families, institutions, and the NYSC by conducting themselves appropriately throughout the service year. He also advised them to respect the traditions and cultures of their host communities while fostering positive relationships.

Additionally, the Director-General urged corps members to be responsible in their use of social media, promoting constructive content that reflects positively on the scheme and the country.

In a report to the Director-General, the NYSC Jigawa State Coordinator, Mr. Dawut Jidda, revealed that 1,434 corps members—774 males and 660 females—were registered in the camp. He attributed the smooth running of camp activities to the collaboration among orientation officials and the discipline of the corps members.
