NYSC Refutes Reports of Corps Member's Death in Ogun State

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has dismissed reports claiming the death of a corps member in Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State. Contrary to a news report on Monday suggesting that an adult male's corpse found in an isolated bush in Ogijo was that of a corps member, the Ogun State Coordinator of NYSC, Olayinka Nasamu, labeled the information as untrue and outright falsehood.

Addressing newsmen in Abeokuta on Tuesday, Nasamu emphasized that the unidentified corpse had no association with the NYSC. She urged journalists to crosscheck information with the NYSC before publishing, highlighting the importance of accurate and positive representation for the organization.
