OAU Student Assault: Victim Details Ordeal, Denies Impersonation Allegations

A student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), identified as Gift, has spoken out about being assaulted by a lecturer, Dr. F.K Ariyo. Gift shared her account on social media (X page) after unsuccessful attempts to reach out to the anchor of 'YourView TVC.' She refuted the lecturer's claim of impersonation and detailed the events that led to the physical altercation.
According to Gift, she mistakenly entered the lecturer's class, promptly realizing her error and exiting. However, Dr. F.K Ariyo allegedly summoned her back into the lecture room, accusing her of impersonation. Gift, a 200L student, vehemently denied the accusation, stating that she had no reason to impersonate a 400L student.

The situation escalated when the lecturer allegedly took Gift's phone and treated her like a thief with the involvement of security personnel. Gift emphasized that she is not a student of Dr. F.K Ariyo and called for an end to the unjust treatment.
