In a momentous ceremony held at Oduduwa Hall on the 22nd of October 2023, Obafemi Awolowo University celebrated the induction of the newly minted physiotherapists and occupational therapists from the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. The event was marked by speeches, congratulations, and a profound sense of accomplishment.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A. Simeon Bamire, presided over the ceremony and took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to the dedicated staff and lecturers who played a pivotal role in the education of the graduating students. Prof. Bamire also offered heartfelt congratulations to the proud parents and their accomplished children, urging them to be problem solvers in these trying times and to serve as exemplary ambassadors of the university.
Prof. Babatope Kolawole, the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, echoed these sentiments by congratulating the graduates on their remarkable achievements. He emphasized the importance of striving for excellence in their chosen profession, inspiring them to reach new heights.

The Registrar of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board, Prof. Rufai, commended the inductees and urged them to demonstrate competence in their professional skills. Prof. Rufai reassured them of the unwavering support of the Board throughout their professional journey.
Adding to the festivities, Prof. Mrs. Boladale Mapayi, Chairperson of the College Alumni Relations Office, extended a warm welcome to the graduates, officially inducting them into the College of Health Sciences Alumni Body.

Arowolo Abdulazeez, the Class Valedictorian, took the stage to share the journey of the graduating class over the years. He highlighted the challenges they had overcome with the support of those who had crossed their paths, marking this day as a symbol of their dedication and determination.
