Obafemi Awolowo University Unveils Programme of Events for 49th Convocation Ceremony

The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has officially released the full programme for its 49th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled from Wednesday, 10th December to Saturday, 13th December 2025.

The multi-day event celebrates the academic achievements of graduands across undergraduate, postgraduate, and honorary levels, while also featuring special lectures and cultural performances.

Wednesday, 10th December 2025 – Award of Diploma Degrees

Thursday, 11th December 2025 – Conferment of First Degrees (Administration, Arts, Education, Law, Social Sciences)

• Venue: Oduduwa Hall Amphitheatre
• Time: 10:00 a.m

Convocation Play: MADAM TINUBU by Akinwumi Ishola

• Venue: Oduduwa Hall
• Time: 7:00 p.m – 9:00 p.m

Friday, 12th December 2025 – Conferment of First Degrees (Agriculture, Computing Science & Engineering, Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Dentistry, Environmental Design & Management, Pharmacy, Science & Technology)

Convocation Lecture / Distinguished Award
