In a significant effort to support the agricultural revitalisation programme at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), and to ensure food security in Ogun State, the Ogun State Government (OGSG) donated 100 bags of fertilizer to the university on August 30, 2024.

The Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, expressed deep gratitude to the Ogun State Government, led by Governor Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun (CON), for the generous support. He commended the government’s dedication to the university’s agricultural revitalisation programme, which aims to position Ogun State as a leading food producer in Nigeria. Professor Kehinde noted that the fertilizer, valued at approximately ₦40,000 per bag and totaling ₦4 million, would be strategically used to advance the shared agricultural objectives of both the state and the university.

Dr. Emmanuel Bankole, Acting Director of DUFARMS, also conveyed appreciation for the government’s recognition of their ongoing efforts. He expressed hope that this gesture would further strengthen the collaboration between FUNAAB and the Ogun State Government.
