In a bid to address the challenge of accessing Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers for examinations, the Ozubulu Brothers’ Club in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State has unveiled plans to establish an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) center in the community.

During the club’s 'Diamond jubilee and grand patron, patrons award ceremony,' Chairman of the club, Nwora Isaac, announced the initiative, emphasizing its significance in supporting youths who aspire to enhance their ICT skills. He highlighted the necessity of the center serving as a CBT venue for examinations such as JAMB, citing the absence of such facilities in Ozubulu as a significant hurdle for local youths.

Isaac expressed these intentions while conferring awards on indigenes of the community for their contributions to community development. Recipients were lauded for their efforts in promoting both human and capital development, which the club believes have paved the way for opportunities for local youths.

The ceremony saw Chief Gilbert Obi being honored with the grand patronship award. Speaking to journalists, Obi, known as the 'Onwa of Ozubulu,' expressed his gratitude for the recognition and pledged to support the club's objectives in advancing community and youth development.

He commended the current leadership for revitalizing the club's mission, especially in embarking on projects geared towards fostering human and capital development, particularly for the youth.

The establishment of the proposed ICT center aligns with the club's renewed commitment to addressing contemporary challenges and bolstering the development of modern society. By providing access to ICT resources and facilitating CBT examinations, the initiative aims to empower local youths and enhance educational opportunities within the community.
