The defense took place at the departmental building and was a significant milestone, marking the first time the department has graduated students with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology.

Dr. Owemidu Idowu Olumorin, Head of the Department, underscored the significance of the project defense in ensuring the integrity of the students' work. "In the Physiology curriculum, it is crucial that students are examined by an external examiner to confirm that the correct processes have been adhered to," he stated.

Dr. Olumorin also expressed gratitude towards the university’s administration, particularly Vice Chancellor Professor Marietu Tenuche Ohunene, for their support. "This inaugural graduation is a testament to the successful accreditation of our department, achieved with the help of Professor Tenuche’s leadership," he noted. He highlighted the department’s commitment to equipping students with advanced tools, including ICT resources, smart boards, projectors, and practical laboratory experience.
