Plateau College of Education Secures Accreditation for 30 Academic Programs

The Plateau College of Education, Gindri, has been granted full accreditation for all 30 of its existing academic programs. Elizabeth Aboreng, the college's public relations officer, announced this development in Jos on Sunday.

Aboreng attributed the success to the current management under Acting Provost Lazarus Maigoro. She highlighted several recent achievements, including the reintroduction of the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Science, which had been closed for over 15 years.

Additional accomplishments mentioned include the full implementation of staff promotions, plans to introduce new degree programs, the acquisition of a 48-room building to address student accommodation shortages, and improvements in campus security and infrastructure.

Aboreng also expressed gratitude to Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his support and extension of Maigoro’s tenure.
