Bayero University, Kano informs members of the University Community and contractors on the various campuses that the university has been spending a lot of money in the repairs of underground facilities as a result of authorized and unauthorized excavation causing damage to fibre optics.

Power, Water, Fibre Optic and Any other Excavation in the University

This is to inform members of the University Community and contractors on our various campuses that the university has been spending a lot of money in the repairs of underground facilities as a result of authorized and unauthorized excavation causing damage to fibre optics.

Henceforth, any excavation must be given approval before commencement from the Physical Planning Unit (PPU); Maintenance Services Department (MSD) and Centre for Information Technology (CIT). Any damage done, due to authorized excavation will be repaired by the defaulter.

Note: For unauthorized excavation, the defaulter will be penalized accordingly.
