Prof Kuta Commissions FUTMINNA's 7.5 MVA Sub-Station

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, has inaugurated a 7.5 MVA injection sub-station, the power transformer that steps down 33 KV to 11KV.

Speaking while inaugurating the equipment on Wednesday February 15, 2023 at the Main Campus, he said the University obtained an upgraded (7.5 MVA) transformer through TETFUND merged annual interventions to the University for years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

The VC expressed joy over the occasion, saying that a lot of money has been invested in the project and that it will require absolute protection.

Prof. Kuta congratulated the University community for the outcome of the project.

He assured the University that the transformer has enough protection and cannot breakdown anyhow even with very high voltage.

He appreciated the University Management for the opportunity given to handle such project and prayed that the relationship between the company and the institution continues.
