Kano State Polytechnic Hosts Gwale LG Chairman, Advocates Youth Empowerment

Kano State Polytechnic welcomed the Executive Chairman of Gwale Local Government, Hon. Abubakar Muaz, and his council members during a courtesy visit focused on fostering youth development initiatives.
Hon. Muaz emphasized the need for collaboration between the polytechnic and the local government to empower youths through skills acquisition, job creation, and educational opportunities. He called on the institution to prioritize Gwale youths in its programs.
“These young minds have immense potential. By equipping them with the right tools, they can drive transformative change within the local government and beyond,” he said.
The Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, commended the chairman’s proactive efforts and reaffirmed the institution's commitment to youth empowerment. He announced the donation of 200 complimentary application forms to support educational access for Gwale youths and pledged to employ some of them in the polytechnic’s workforce.
Dr. Farouk also highlighted the polytechnic’s Entrepreneurship Education Directorate as a key resource for training and empowering local youths.
The visit solidifies the partnership between Kano State Polytechnic and Gwale Local Government in advancing youth-focused development initiatives.
