In a remarkable turn of events, security operatives have successfully rescued two out of three abducted children in Amaba Ime, Ikwuano LGA of Abia State. The children, who were abducted by a motorcyclist, were found in separate towns in Anambra State, namely Ekwulobia and Nkpor.

The Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Mr. Osinachi Nwaka, confirmed the rescue of the children while addressing members of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Abia State chapter. He revealed that a Reverend Sister allegedly involved in a child trafficking syndicate has been apprehended in connection with the abduction.

The local government chairman commended the collaborative efforts of various security agencies, including the Abia State Commissioner of Police, Governor Alex Otti, and other security heads, in ensuring the safe return of the abducted children. He expressed optimism that the remaining missing child would soon be located.

He warned against the alarming presence of syndicates operating across local governments, highlighting the Reverend Sister's involvement as a middle person in the distribution of abducted children.
