The Department of Nursing Science, Rivers State University (RSU), has recorded an outstanding achievement as all its students who sat for the Midwifery Examinations conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) between September 9 and 12, 2025, passed successfully.

The examinations, held at the ACE Training Center, Iriebe, Port Harcourt, and ACE-PUTOR, University of Port Harcourt, Choba, serve as a critical professional assessment to determine if nursing students have attained the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional competencies required for licensing as Registered Midwives (RM).
