Prof. Okogbule holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree and completed the Barrister at Law programme at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, graduating with Second Class Honours Upper Division. He also possesses a Master of Laws degree and a doctorate in Philosophy.

In 2021, Prof. Nlerum Sunday Okogbule was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of RSU by His Excellency Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. Prior to his current role, he served as the Dean of the Postgraduate School and, notably, as the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the university.
