School Children and Teachers Kidnapped in Ekiti State

The Ekiti State Government, led by Governor Abiodun Oyebanji, has assured residents that security measures have been intensified to rescue the abducted children and teachers. Governor Oyebanji condemned the kidnapping as callous and unacceptable, promising a comprehensive rescue operation.

School Children and Teachers Kidnapped in Ekiti State

 Unknown gunmen abducted six pupils and three teachers from a private school in Ekiti State, Nigeria, while they were returning from Eporo-Ekiti on Monday night. The victims were traveling in a school bus when the gunmen intercepted them.

 

The incident involved students from Apostolic Faith School, Ekiti. Ekiti State Government, led by Gove Thernor Abiodun Oyebanji, has assured residents that security measures have been intensified to rescue the abducted children and teachers. Law enforcement agencies, including the police and relevant security forces, have been mobilized to address the situation.

 

In related news, two Ekiti State monarchs were killed by suspected kidnappers on the Ipao-Oke Ako Road. The victims, Onimojo of Imojo and Elesun of Esun Ekiti, were returning from a function in Kogi State when they encountered the gunmen. While one monarch escaped, the other two were fatally shot. Authorities are investigating the incident.
