Sibongile Sambo, a South African entrepreneur, has transformed her passion for aviation into a thriving business venture. As the founder and managing director of SRS Aviation, she has carved a path as the first black female owner of an aviation company in Africa.
Born in 1974 in Bushbuckridge, a rural enclave in South Africa's Mpumalanga province, Sambo harbored aspirations of becoming a flight attendant. However, she encountered a significant setback – failing to meet the minimum height requirement of 1.6 meters set by South African Airways.
