Skyline University Nigeria conducts Pocket MBA for Unity Bank staff

Skyline University Nigeria (SUN) has conducted a Pocket MBA workshop for the staff of Unity Bank on Saturday, 23rd March, 2024. The workshop was organized to equip the staff on the necessities of effective leadership for their organization’s success.

In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of SUN, Professor Ajith Kumar V. V. and the speaker at the workshop, said the university is thankful for the support given by Unity Bank since the established of SUN. He said the bank has been very helpful in terms of training SUN staff on financial literacy and their services.

The Vice-Chancellor took the participants through the intricacies of leadership in today’s highly demanding world. Delivering his lecture titled ‘Strategic Intelligence Leadership’, he admitted that leadership is an essential part of organization building. He said leaders possess different approaches to solving organizational challenges such disputes, lack of productivity, lateness and other related wrong actions.

He added that an intelligent leader is one who steers the ship of the organization to success which can only be achieved through strategic thinking and effective leadership. The goal of strategic intelligence leadership is to use intelligence to negotiate complexity, foresee obstacles, and seize opportunities in order to achieve organizational success, he said.

He concluded the workshop by stating the core pillars of effective leadership – critical thinking, ethical stewardship, good communication, and analytical abilities.

In his remarks, Mr. Lawi Abdullahi Isah, the assistant marketing manager at SUN, expressed his appreciation to the staff for their unwavering cooperation for the workshop.

 

Unity Bank staff who attended the training expressed their maximum satisfaction with the training. They lauded the management of SUN for their thoughtful consideration of hosting then for the life-long learning workshop.
