President Bola Tinubu has received commendation for his decision to upgrade the Federal College of Education (FCE) Zaria to the Federal University of Education. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, expressed his approval in a statement released to journalists in Abuja on Thursday.
Abbas described Tinubu as a detribalized leader, highlighting his unwavering commitment to the Nigerian education system. He praised the President's express approval for the upgrade as a courageous step, emphasizing its significance in enhancing access to university education for Nigerians, particularly those pursuing careers in teaching.
The Speaker extended his congratulations to the people of Kaduna State, including Governor Uba Sani and the Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli. He called on the community to collaborate with the government in realizing the full potential of the newly established university.
