Students of PAAU Anyigba Call for Non-Involvement in Politics

Students of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in Anyigba have made an appeal to political figures to refrain from involving students in politics. They have criticized Senator Dino Melaye, the Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), for allegedly referring to the state-owned institution as a glorified secondary school. The students have emphasized that the general public should not be misled by such inaccurate information.

Comrade Monday urged political figures to refrain from involving students in politics, and he cautioned the public not to be misled by such false statements. He further noted that such baseless remarks could tarnish the university's hard-earned reputation and cast doubt on the achievements of its graduates.

PAAU is one of the accredited universities in Nigeria with over 150 scholars, state-of-the-art facilities, and a high reputation for research and community service. It is not, as Senator Melaye suggested, a glorified secondary school, and such misleading statements can negatively impact the careers of its graduates.
