Sule Lamido University Appoints Prof. Nasir Faruk as New Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics

The Governing Council of Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLUK) has confirmed Professor Nasir Faruk as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, effective October 21, 2025.

This appointment follows his nomination by the University Senate and recommendation by Vice-Chancellor Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai.

Professor Faruk is a renowned expert in Telecommunications and Information Technology. He holds a First-Class in Physics from Kano University of Science and Technology, with Distinction in Mobile and High-Speed Telecommunication Networks from Oxford Brookes University, UK, and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Ilorin.
