Mr. Anthony Nzoka, the Taraba State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), highlighted the significance of skills development in addressing Nigeria's economic challenges. During the graduation ceremony of the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Sibre near Jalingo, Nzoka emphasized the crucial role of skills in national development.

Nzoka attributed Nigeria's economic hardships to the lack of adequate skills among the youth population, stressing that every nation's wealth is proportional to the skills of its people. He urged the graduating corps members to leverage the skills they acquired during their training to create employment opportunities for themselves and contribute to the nation's economic growth.

Acknowledging the limited availability of government jobs in proportion to the growing population, Nzoka encouraged the corps members to explore entrepreneurship and utilize post-camp training opportunities to enhance their skills further. He emphasized the importance of transforming acquired skills into profitable ventures for personal and national development.

Furthermore, Mr. Japhet Saidu, the SAED Coordinator, urged the corps members to utilize the skills acquired to benefit their communities and society at large. He encouraged them to explore funding opportunities, including grants provided by NYSC in collaboration with various organizations, to support their entrepreneurial endeavors.
