Taraba State University Launches Directorate for Prohibition of Narcotics and Drug Abuse
Taraba State University has established a Directorate for the Prohibition of Narcotics and Drug Abuse, demonstrating its commitment to a drug-free campus.
The launch was attended by dignitaries, including Brigade General Mohammed Buba Marwa (RTD), represented by Alhaji Mohammed Idris Bello DCGN, Zonal Commander of NDLEA Zone B.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunday Paul Bako emphasized the university's dedication to nurturing future leaders who are drug-free. Mr. Jeremiah S. Adamu commended the university's efforts, stating that no stone will be left unturned in achieving this goal.
Alhaji Mohammed Idris Bello DCGN pledged NDLEA's collaboration with the institution to ensure a drug-free campus. He decorated the Vice-Chancellor as a WADA Ambassador for his commitment to sensitizing newly admitted students on the dangers of drug abuse.
The event was attended by notable guests, including the Commissioner of Justice and Re-integration, Hon. Filister Ibrahim Musa; Commissioner of Education, Hon. Dr. Augustina Godwin; CAN Chairman, Taraba State, Dr. Jirapye Isaiah; and representatives from NDLEA, NSCDC, and FRSC.
This initiative underscores Taraba State University's commitment to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for its students.
