The teacher was taken aback when her daughter-in-law, Jenny, insisted that she either retire or transfers her grandson to a different class, to avoid teaching him. This unexpected ultimatum has disrupted the teacher's plans, as she had intended to retire on her own terms within the next five years.
The situation is further complicated by the small size of the school, where the teacher holds the sole kindergarten teaching position. "The school plans to expand, but right now, it is small. So I teach all of them."
