The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa Applauds FUTA’s Role in Technological Advancement at 34th, 35th Convocation

The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has praised the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), for its pivotal contributions to education, research, and technological innovation in Nigeria.

Speaking at the university's 34th and 35th convocation ceremonies on Saturday, Governor Aiyedatiwa commended the institution's commitment to academic excellence under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Adenike T. Oladiji. He described FUTA as a world-class institution producing exceptional graduates.

“To the graduands, I urge you to be exemplary ambassadors of integrity and resilience, leveraging your skills to impact society positively,” the Governor said, pledging continued collaboration with the university to foster innovation and development.

During the ceremonies, Professor Oladiji reaffirmed FUTA’s dedication to advancing education through science and technology while celebrating the 6,500 graduating students, including 519 First Class honorees.

The event also saw the conferment of 1,280 postgraduate degrees, reinforcing FUTA’s standing as a hub for academic and technological excellence.
