He ascended to this revered position following the passing of Oba Sijuwade in July 2015, making him a significant figure in the Yoruba monarchy.

Beyond his royal role, Oba Adeyeye boasts a remarkable professional background. He holds a degree in Accountancy and is a certified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Institute of Management. He has a rich history of involvement in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, both locally and abroad, spanning over 11 years. Oba Adeyeye's professional journey is marked by significant contributions to various development projects. Notable among them is his involvement in the development of the Northern Foreshore Estate and Cityscape International Limited's Buena Vista project in Lekki. He has also lent his expertise to projects by Primewaterview Limited and Westcom Limited. Additionally, Oba Adeyeye was instrumental in the resuscitation projects of Ajaokuta Steel and Delta Steel.
