TAU successfully hosted the RUDN University Professional Scholarship Courses on 16th and 17th February 2026, reinforcing its commitment to global academic collaboration and professional development.
The intensive programme, organized in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Professional Education, Faculty of Philology, RUDN University, Russia, featured renowned facilitators including Dr. Muhammed Jamiu Mustapha (RUDN University) and Dr. Rasaq M. Adisa (University of Ilorin), alongside other distinguished scholars.
The courses focused on:

✔ Digital Pedagogy for Higher Education Teachers
Day One Highlight: Implementing Ethical AI in Academic Research and Writing
Day one brought together staff and students for an engaging session led by Dr. Mustapha, who emphasized responsible AI adoption in academia. He addressed key areas such as:
▪ Foundations of Ethical AI in Academia
▪ AI and Research Integrity
▪ Transparency, Disclosure, and Citation
▪ Responsible AI Adoption
He highlighted core ethical principles including academic integrity, transparency, human oversight, and verification of AI outputs. Participants also explored permissible and non-permissible uses of AI and examined the ethical triad of plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification.
In the second session, Dr. Rasaq Adisa discussed ethical AI applications for literature review and data analysis, demonstrating effective research strategies using Boolean logic and Google Scholar tool (exCITATION).
The day concluded with a strong message: embrace AI as a co-pilot, maintain intellectual control, and remain deliberate and transparent in its use.
