Gianna and Tianna Tout-Puissan, 17-year-old twin sisters hailing from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, have achieved an extraordinary feat by securing admission to Harvard University despite facing early-life health challenges.

Born prematurely, the Tout-Puissan sisters entered the world more than two months before their due date, which presented them with initial hurdles. Undeterred, they recently graduated from Moravian Academy with exceptional academic and athletic achievements.

Their dedication and perseverance paid off as both sisters received acceptance letters from Harvard University, renowned for its rigorous admissions process with only a 3.4% acceptance rate from nearly 57,000 applicants for the class of 2027.

During their high school years, Gianna and Tianna excelled academically and distinguished themselves as star student-athletes. They developed a passion for learning and honed their skills on the basketball court, where they made significant contributions to their school's varsity team.

Reflecting on their shared journey, the twins described their acceptance to Harvard as surreal and a dream come true. "We logged into our application portals at the exact same time, and then we read ‘Congratulations’ on each other’s screens, and then we just started all screaming," Gianna shared, recalling the moment of excitement.
