Two students of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, were killed in a fatal road accident on the Akure-Ondo Expressway on Wednesday evening. The students were riding a motorcycle when they were struck by a speeding vehicle, resulting in their immediate death at the scene.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council Ondo State Chapter confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday, expressing deep sorrow and calling for an investigation into the accident's circumstances.

Witnesses reported that the speeding vehicle lost control and collided with the students' motorcycle, causing fatal injuries. The incident has raised concerns about road safety along the Akure-Ondo Expressway, known for accidents due to reckless driving and poor road conditions.
