UCH Inaugurates Strategic Committee for Alumni, Research and Grants Unit

The Management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, led by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, has inaugurated a Strategic Committee under the Alumni, Research, and Grants Unit (ARGU).

The Management of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, led by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, has inaugurated a Strategic Committee under the Alumni, Research, and Grants Unit (ARGU).

The inauguration took place on September 8, 2025, at the hospital’s boardroom.

The event marked a major milestone in ARGU’s mission to expand research initiatives, strengthen alumni engagement, and improve access to external funding opportunities. The newly inaugurated Strategic Planning Committee has been tasked with developing a comprehensive roadmap to drive the Unit’s long-term goals and enhance its institutional impact.

Speaking at the inauguration, Prof. Abiodun Adeoye, Director and Head of ARGU, underscored the importance of the committee, particularly in fostering collaboration and innovation in the pursuit of the hospital’s research and development agenda. He also highlighted the achievements of the unit so far and its growing impact.

In his remarks, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, commended the milestones already achieved by ARGU under the leadership of Prof. Abiodun Adeoye.
