The Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital (UCH), Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, has been honoured with a prestigious award by the UCH Senior Staff Recreation Club.

The presentation took place during a courtesy visit held on Friday, 31st October 2025, at the hospital’s boardroom.

Chairman of the Club, Engr. Adejobi Adesina, led the delegation and stated that the visit was to inform the CMD about the Club’s forthcoming event and to appreciate his exemplary leadership.

While presenting the award, Mr. Omoboye Titus, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), explained that the recognition was in appreciation of Professor Otegbayo’s unwavering support, generosity, and significant contributions to staff welfare, unity, and recreation — efforts which, he said, have greatly boosted staff morale and performance within the hospital.

In his remarks, Professor Otegbayo expressed gratitude for the honour, stating that he received the award “in good faith and with utmost appreciation.” He pledged continued support for the Club, assuring the members of his commitment to its growth and sustainability.

“I pledge to do whatever I can to make the club viable,” he concluded.
