UCH Universal Laboratory Upgrades to COBAS Pure Integrated Solution to Boost Diagnostic Services

The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, has strengthened its diagnostic capabilities with the installation of a COBAS pure integrated solution at its Universal Laboratory.

The cutting-edge equipment was delivered by ROCHE Diagnostics on January 6, 2026, marking a significant upgrade from the previous COBAS 6000 analyser.

The equipment was officially received by Dr. Richard Akpan, Head of the Universal Laboratory, who described the upgrade as both timely and essential. He noted that the former analyser had become outdated, necessitating a transition to a more advanced platform to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely diagnostic results aligned with international standards.
