UDUS Faculty of Education to Honour New Professors

The Welfare Committee of the Faculty of Education and Extension Services, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), is set to hold a special ceremony in honour of its newly appointed professors.

According to the official invitation released on 25th June 2025, the event will take place on Friday, 27th June 2025, at MH2 Permanent Site, UDUS. The programme is scheduled to commence at 4:00 p.m.

The seven professors to be celebrated at the event include: Prof. Asiyatu A. Bagudo, Prof. Aisha A. Ibrahim, Prof. Mannir Abba, Prof. S. Y. Tsagem, Prof. Cyril Matthew, Prof. Halima Sarkinfada, and Prof. Abbas Mahmud.

The ceremony will feature a structured programme of events beginning with the arrival of guests, followed by the national and university anthems, speeches by the celebrants, and goodwill messages from representatives of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), faculty members, and the Vice-Chancellor.

Also included in the programme are words of appreciation, a vote of thanks from the Local Organising Committee (LOC) Chairman, and closing remarks by the Heads of Departments’ representatives.
