UDUS Marks International Day for the Girl Child with Empowerment and Health Focus
The special guest of honor will be the Honorable Commissioner from the Ministry for Women and Children Affairs. The program will also feature a discussion on reproductive health and STDs led by the Health Service Department of UDUS.
The Female Support Association at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) has organized a special event to commemorate the International Day for the Girl Child. Themed "Vision for the Future: A Fulcrum for Girl-Child Resilience," the event will take place on Friday, 11th October 2024, at the UDUS Permanent Site MH3 Hall, starting at 10:00 AM.
Key speakers include Professor Mairo Abdullahi from the Faculty of Management Sciences, who will speak on "Business Management: Vision for the Future," and Professor Asiyatu Abubakar Bagudo from the Department of Adult Education and Extension Services, addressing the topic "Change Makers: Empowering the Girl Child to Drive Social Change."
The event will be hosted by Dr. Zainab Abdullahi, wife of the Vice Chancellor and Chairperson of the Female Support Association at UDUS. The special guest of honor will be the Honorable Commissioner from the Ministry for Women and Children Affairs. The program will also feature a discussion on reproductive health and STDs led by the Health Service Department of UDUS.
The association's patronesses, Professor Sadiya Omar and Hajiya Inno Ahmed Dogon Daji, will also be in attendance.
