UDUS Sets to Hold Matriculation for New Undergraduate, Postgraduate Students

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) is set to officially welcome its newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2023/2024 academic session at a matriculation ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

The event will take place at the university's convocation square at 9:30 am, according to a memo from the ceremonies committee. This ceremony is specifically for newly admitted 100-level (UG1), 200-level (UG2), and postgraduate (PG) students who have not previously graduated from the university.

The memo emphasizes the necessity for all new students to attend a rehearsal on Tuesday, May 21, at 9:30 am at the university's convocation square. The university management has also announced that Tuesday and Wednesday will be lecture-free days for those participating in the ceremony.

Matriculating students need to complete their oath forms and sign the matriculation registers at their respective faculty levels. Failure to do so within the given timeframe will result in expulsion from the university, as stated in the memo.
