University of Ibadan Aspirants are adviced not to search for certain information concerning the institution on GOOGLE, inoder not to be fed with the wrong information.

2023 JAMBites and aspirants, this is for you...

Never search for anything on Google about these

Has UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN (or any school) started giving admission for 2023?

When would UI (or any school) start giving Admissions?

Has UI (or any school) stopped giving admission?

What score do you need to enter UI (or any school)?

What is the cut off mark for UI?

It also includes questions regarding the cut-off mark of your course or admission requirements in your school of choice.

If you search for all these questions, Google will give you false information.

You know why?

Every info you see on Google was posted by someone just like you. Some post even what they don't know about. Mr A posts a false info just to drive traffic to his site and make more money. Mr B who knows nothing about it also goes ahead to copy and post the same info, and so does Mr C. And then, you find a lot of similar thing on different sites. You tend to believe easily because you see the same thing almost every site you click.

What you don't also know is that GOOGLE is simply a search engine. It doesn't know what's right or wrong. It will only go through the internet, search, and bring out something related to what you asked to know - whether right or wrong.

So then what do you do? If you need a detailed and accurate info about your school, especially regarding things like admissions and cutoffs, the best place you can always get it is from within the school itself. That involves you asking from someone within that school.

How do you do that? The best way is to search and join your SCHOOL'S ASPIRANTS AND STUDENTS GROUPS especially on platforms like Facebook - that's the easiest place. There you can ask your questions and have the hope of getting an overview of what you should expect.

Also, ask those you feel may have an idea on stuffs relating to admissions. You can send me a message on WhatsApp (09155595260) for updates and to be added to the Aspirants WhatsApp group.

Finally, gaining admission is beyond just JAMB cutoff marks. That's why it's possible to see someone with a high score miss out, yet someone with lower gets admitted.
