The University of Abuja Uniabuja has announced the retirement of the Deputy Registrar, Council Affairs, Malam Waziri Garba, at the age of 65 years

The management of the University of Abuja Uniabuja has announced the retirement of the Deputy Registrar,  Council Affairs, Malam Waziri Garba, at the age of 65 years 

Malam Waziri Garba, the  Deputy Registrar, of Council Affairs,  retired over the weekend,  after several years of meritorious service in the University.  

Garba, a  renowned journalist and public relations expert,  retired at the age of 65.

 Born in 1958, Mal Waziri Garba joined the  University of Abuja on the transfer of service from the New Nigerian Newspapers in March 2000, and has held several positions,  including head, the Information and Publications Unit; head, Human Resource Unit; and head, Council Secretariat until his retirement.

Waziri who has mentored  staff and students  in the University, says he is "extremely grateful to Allah for all that He has done for me."
