The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) is now opening its doors to qualified candidates for the 2024 Contact Session.

MEd Programmes (Part-time)

• Courses Offered:
  • MEd Curriculum Studies
  • MEd Educational Administration and Planning
  • MEd Guidance and Counselling
  • MEd Social Studies Education
  • MEd Educational Psychology
  • MEd Language Education
  • MEd Science Education
• Duration: These programmes span over Thirty (30) months.

Admission Requirements for MEd Programmes

• Educational Qualifications: Applicants should possess five (5) ‘O’ level credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings, and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of Education with at least Second Class Lower Division. Alternatively, a first degree in any discipline plus a PGDE from a recognized institution is acceptable.

Part-Time & Sandwich PGD Programmes

• Mode of Admission: Part-Time basis.
• Duration: The PGD programmes last for 18 months.

Admission Requirements for PGD Programmes

• Qualifications: A First Degree/HND in a teaching subject is required.

How to Apply

• Application Fee: The cost of application is N25,000.
• Steps to Apply:
  1. Visit UNIABUJA’s Portal.
  2. Click on “Click here to apply”.
  3. On the left pane, select the Institute of Education.
  4. Enter your details such as surname, first name, other names, email, and phone number, then proceed.
  5. Follow the prompts to generate RRR and make a payment using a Master Card or Visa Card.
  6. After successful payment, you will receive an application number.
  7. Use this number and your surname to log in and continue your application.

• Closing Date: Be aware that the sale of application forms will close on April 30, 2024.
