UNICAL Registrar Decries Defamation of Character, Lodges Formal Complaint

A petition by the Registrar to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 6 and the Commissioner of Police, Nigerian Police Force, Calabar made available to the Public Relations Unit of the institution indicates that the said Mr. Sanctus Elemi (M) is currently under investigation by law enforcement agencies.

UNICAL Registrar Decries Defamation of Character, Lodges Formal Complaint

A petition by the Registrar to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 6 and the Commissioner of Police, Nigerian Police Force, Calabar made available to the Public Relations Unit of the institution indicates that the said Mr. Sanctus Elemi (M) is currently under investigation by law enforcement agencies, Myschoolnews gathered.

Mr Gabriel Egbe stated that sometime in the past, the said Sanctus Elemi was arrested and detained at the Area Command, Akim, where he issued a false statement that prompted the Police Command to invite him as Registrar to clear himself. 

According to Mr Egbe, in the wake of responding to the invitation at the Police Command,  the suspect seeing him, started apologizing, confessing that someone egged him to mention the Registrar’s name to free himself.

The University Scribe stated that, when  Mr. Sanctus apologized and begged him for forgiveness, he thought that the fraudulent activities had come to an end.

According to the Registrar, a few days ago, he got informed again that the said Mr. Sanctus Elemi who was arrested by the University Security Unit and handed over to the Department of State Services ( DSS) is still using his name and office for his fraudulent activities.

Mr Gabriel Egbe stated that he would no longer fold his hands and watch his name and office being dragged in the mud.

He is in the petition appealing for intervention from the Law Enforcement Agencies to protect his hard-earned name and reputation, including that of the office he holds, noting that, it is high time, Mr. Sanctus Elemi and his collaborators be made to face the law.
