UNICAL Rejoices As Her Student, Daniel Ehis Breaks World Records For Longest Continuous Writing

Daniel Ehis  a third-year student of the Philosophy Department, University of Calabar, has successfully achieved the feat of becoming the Guinness World Record Holder for the longest continuous writing of both fictional and non-fictional stories, Myschoolnews gathered.

His record-breaking endeavour commenced on October 1st and was officially completed today, October 9th, at precisely 2:48 PM, with an additional four hours of writing.

Upon completion of this rare task and reaching this amiable feat as the world's Longest Holder for continuous writing, the University of Calabar community and Calabar, the Cross River State Capital breathed a new lease of joy as the atmosphere was charged with excitement and jubilation.

The University Management, Government officials, CRS, Staff and Students of the University Media houses and well wishers from all corners gathered to celebrate Daniel's remarkable achievement.

Reacting in excitement amid the celebration, Daniel said, "It's been a challenging and demanding experience. There were moments, particularly on the fourth night, when I felt I might not make it. However, the coordinator, Mr. Timothy Okpe, and my dedicated crew members provided unwavering motivation each time."

On how he managed physical discomfort and fatigue, he stated, "I had individuals who came to provide massages, which greatly alleviated my pain and helped me persevere when I almost gave up."

When asked on how he plans to handle the newfound celebrity status and the opportunities it may bring, he responded, "I've never experienced celebrity status before, so I'm not quite sure what to expect. But there's always a first time, and I believe mine will be a great experience."

Daniel also informed reporters that he had previously published books stressing that he had eight books to his credit before this adventure.

According to him, "I have eight books available on Amazon and other publishing platforms. Most of my readers are from Germany. I hope that after today, my books will gain broader recognition and reach a wider Nigerian audience."

Mr Daniel further said that he hopes to receive a certificate from the University Management to help facilitate recommendations and opportunities.

This is even as he encouraged Young writers to have confidence purpose and not feel inferior in whatever they believe in.

Hear him, "I do hope to receive a certificate from the school management, which would facilitate recommendations and opportunities. While the Guinness World Record certification is indeed prestigious, I would be even more pleased if the school were to officially acknowledge my achievement."

"My fellow writers, always have the confidence to share whatever positive contributions you have to offer. Never feel inferior; your words have the power to inspire."

Congratulating the record-breaker Mr. Daniel Ehis, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Obi commended him for his boldness and vision of daring to make a name for himself and the University adding that this kind of intelligence needs to be celebrated.

She advised Students and Youths in general to always get involved in activities that are educative and worthwhile.

Prof. Florence Obi, however, urged well-meaning Nigerians to support brains like Daniel Ehis to help him do more for himself and society.
