Dr. Agha made this statement during the orientation exercise for the first-year students of Performing Arts. He emphasized that UNIDEL boasts a reputable Performing Arts department that offers a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the practical skills required to excel in the entertainment industry.
With state-of-the-art facilities and a team of seasoned, competent lecturers, Dr. Agha believes the department is poised to produce graduates who are well-prepared for successful careers in acting and related fields.
"Here in UNIDEL, our department covers diverse aspects of performing arts, encourages research, and enhances critical thinking and creativity," he said.
He urged the first-year students to work diligently and make the most of their time at the university, which will help them develop their full potential.
The orientation covered several important topics, including campus and departmental security, dress code and rules, channels of communication, rehearsal protocols, admission and registration procedures, care of equipment and instruments, and the importance of discipline and consistent attendance in lectures.
The orientation program featured resource persons such as Mr. Unoka A.E, Dr. (Mrs.) Okunmbor D.I, Dr. Iyamah C.Y, Dr. (Mrs.) Okafor J.E, Dr. (Mrs.) Uche M.A, Mr. Ofosu O.O, and Mrs. Iyama O.O, who provided valuable insights to the new students.
