UNIJOS Deploy Free Buses To Cushion Effects Of Fuel Subsidy On Staff And Students

The management of the university of Jos (UNIJOS), plateau state has announced the deployment of free shuttle buses on campus to help cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy on its staff and students.

Myschoolnews reports this was contained in a circular signed by the senior deputy registrar of the Institution, Abdullahi Abdullahi at the behest of the vice chancellor, Professor Ishaya Tanko.

According to the circular dated June 8th, 2023, the free buses would be stationed at designated points within Jos everyday except for sundays.

The routes it would ply include: plateau private - Tina junction - Angwa Rukuba - University staff quarters gate - Bauchi Ring road - Naraguta campus.

" Polo roundabout - St. Murumba - Faringada - Naraguta campus.

" British American overhead bridge - old JUTH - Bauchi road - Bauchi road campus." 

The buses are scheduled for departure at 7:00 am, 1:00 pm , 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm daily.

However, only staff members with valid identity cards and Students with valid means of identification and confirmation of fees payment would be allowed into the buses.
