The University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Lagos State University (LASU) are set to co-host the 11th All African University Games, tagged "Lagos 2024," from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 29, 2024.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Lagos State University (LASU) are set to co-host the 11th All African University Games, tagged "Lagos 2024," from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 29, 2024. The prestigious event will bring together athletes from universities across the African continent to compete in a variety of sports, promoting unity and showcasing exceptional talent.

The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the UNILAG Sports Centre, while the closing ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the LASU Sports Complex.

Dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State; Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, President of the Federation of African University Sports (FASU); Prof. Tahir Mamman, Honourable Minister of Education, Federal Republic of Nigeria; and John Owan Enoh, Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
