University of Lagos, in collaboration with several renowned international universities, announces the commencement of admissions into its School of Foundation Studies for the 2024/2025 Academic Session. The program, formerly known as Foundation Programmes, offers a one-year intensive course designed to prepare highly successful candidates for Direct Entry admission into the 200 Level of degree programs at the University of Lagos or partner universities in the United Kingdom and China.

Prospective candidates are invited to apply for admission into the School of Foundation Studies, where they will undergo an approved examination administered by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB). Successful candidates will be eligible for consideration for Direct Entry admission into various degree programs. The program covers a wide range of subject combinations, aligning with JUPEB syllabus requirements.

Applicants must possess a minimum of five credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and three relevant subjects, obtained at one sitting in SSCE/WASSC, GCE/O/L, NECO examinations.

The application process involves visiting the School of Foundation Studies website to obtain detailed information on subject combinations and completing the e-application form on the university's application portal. The cost of the application form is N35,000, and payment can be made at any commercial bank in Nigeria. The application period opens on May 13, 2024, and closes on August 9, 2024.

The entrance examination, which will be conducted via Computer-Based Tests, is scheduled to hold on August 17, 2024, at the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) in the University of Lagos. Results and merit admission will be published on the university's official website.

It is important to note that admission into undergraduate programs at the University of Lagos is based on approved capacity for each program, and success in the JUPEB examination does not guarantee admission into preferred courses. The university maintains zero tolerance for various forms of misconduct, including drug abuse, sexual harassment, cultism, cybercrime, and examination malpractice.
