UNILAG Appoints Prof. Adekoya Director of Foundation Studies; Dr. Olusanya as Acting RMO Director
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has appointed Professor Khalid Adekoya as the Director of the School of Foundation Studies and Dr. Olasunmbo Olusanya as the Acting Director of the Research Management Office.
In a significant development, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, has announced the appointment of Professor Khalid Adekoya and Dr. Olasunmbo Olusanya to key leadership positions within the university.
Professor Khalid Adekoya, from the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics in the Faculty of Science, has been appointed as the Director of the School of Foundation Studies (SFS) at UNILAG. His two-year tenure, effective from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026, reflects the university's confidence in his capabilities to lead the SFS towards academic excellence and student success.
Additionally, Dr. Olasunmbo Olusanya, from the Department of Employment Relations & Human Resource Management in the Faculty of Management Sciences, has been appointed as the Acting Director of the Research Management Office (RMO) at UNILAG. Her appointment, also effective from April 1, 2024, underscores her expertise and leadership qualities in research management and administration.
