The College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL), has announced the commencement of applications for the Transitional Doctor of Physiotherapy (tDPT) Programme for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

The specialized Distance Learning Programme (DLP) is designed for licensed and practising physiotherapists in both public and private sectors. It adopts a hybrid structure — combining online and weekend (onsite) lectures to accommodate working professionals.

According to the University, the programme is open to physiotherapists within and outside Nigeria and will run for a minimum of four semesters (two academic sessions).

Admission Requirements:

  • Applicants must be licensed Physiotherapists registered with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board (MRTB).
  • Candidates must possess a B.Sc. Physiotherapy, B. Physiotherapy, or Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (BMR) degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
  • Admission is at the 500 Level of study.
  • Applicants must have at least five (5) credit passes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and English Language at SSCE or GCE O’ Level, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • All candidates will undergo a screening process before final admission.

The application fee is ₦50,000 (Fifty Thousand Naira Only), and the application window will remain open for three weeks from the date of publication.
