In a significant development for the University of Lagos (UNILAG), a delegation from the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) arrived at the institution for the accreditation of its esteemed degree programme in Insurance.

Led by Mr. Sunny Adeda, the 4-man CIIN delegation commenced their visit with a courtesy call on UNILAG's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, on April 29, 2024. The purpose of their visit was to evaluate UNILAG's B.Sc. Insurance program, offered by the Faculty of Management Science, ensuring compliance with CIIN's rigorous standards and requirements.

Accompanied by esteemed members of UNILAG's academic community including Prof. Olusoji Ilori, Dr. S. Ogega, Musa Obalola, Prof. Hamadu Dauda, Dr. Folake Olowokudejo, and others, the delegation was warmly received by UNILAG's administrative leadership, including Prof. Lucian Obinna Chukwu, Prof. Bola Oboh, Mrs. Olakunle E. Makinde, and Mrs. Oluwafunmilola Adekunle.
