UNILAG to Celebrate International Day for Women and Girls in Science
The Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), UNILAG Branch, will celebrate the International Day for Women and Girls in Science on February 11, 2025, at NitHub, UNILAG, Akoka, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), University of Lagos (UNILAG) Branch, is set to commemorate the International Day for Women and Girls in Science on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The event will take place at NitHub, No. 6, Commercial Road, UNILAG, Akoka, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Themed Women in Science Leadership: A New Era for Sustainability, the celebration will feature a variety of engaging activities aimed at highlighting the critical role of women in science and fostering an inclusive scientific community. Among the scheduled activities are guest lectures, a student-led panel discussion, and special awards recognizing outstanding contributions to the field. Additionally, the event will honor newly promoted female professors, reinforcing the importance of representation and leadership in science.
